Meet Gary. The Great Gray Owl.

I absolutely love the look on this guy’s face he’s sweet and naive and you know… he’s really not.
Owls are symbolically known for reaching into the dark of night (your subconscious shadow side) and pulling information into the light (usually of the divine feminine represented by the moon). The spirit of this animal encourages you to look beyond deceiving appearances into the true reality of a situation or a person’s motives. Owl spirit animals are symbolic of death in many traditions. In most cases however, it should not be taken literally: If the owl is associated with death, it can be viewed a symbolic death, meaning a transition in life, important changes that are taking place or about to happen. The owl is a strong spirit guide for discernment and making decision based solid foundations. Call on the owl totem when you have to assess a situation or are going through confusing times. A place to go for inquiry with Owl medicine is to ask what do I need to see/hear/discover that I am overlooking in this situation? Am I trusting my intuition or disregarding my own truth while waiting for more information? Are you feeling invisible lately…. maybe listened to but not truly seen? Or maybe it’s time to be stealthy and wait patiently for insight?

I am an artist, living and painting inspired by the world around me. Right now I am drawn to watercolor with a splash of colored pencil thrown in for good measure. A touch of acrylic and whatever else rolls across my bench that looks interesting to use. The world is full of artistic possibilities.
